Honeybear
My beautiful sweet Honeybear crossed the Rainbow Bridge a week ago and my heart is breaking ❤️ She would have been 19 years old in Jan and it seems like yesterday when I walked into my neighborhood pet store and noticed that a rescue group was holding a cat adoption faire. I had just lost a furbaby a few months earlier so was not quite ready to adopt at that moment but I can never resist felines so I wandered over to take a quick look and there she was……an adorable nine month old ginger and white tabby with green eyes. I decided to hold her for just a minute but the moment she started purring with her head resting on my shoulder I wanted to hold her forever. That minute turned into 19 years of pure love and affection.
Honey was my constant companion when I was sleeping, reading or watching TV. She preferred my company to that of her two feline sisters and ran to the door to meet me every day after work when she heard my car pull into the driveway. I was her person and the one she trusted to keep her safe and healthy. And I was the one with whom she entrusted her quality of life and my promise to never let her suffer. If love could have saved her she would have lived forever. Goodbye my beloved Honey and I’ll see you again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge ❤️
