"Bambi" 1990 ----- 2000

My dearest Bambi l will miss you.
You were such a big black cat with big gold eyes
that were like Windmills l use to say. You were
so mistreated by your owners when they bought a dog.
They didn't want you any longer.
They wanted to take you to the Animal Shelter
and l said no l wanted you.
You'd stand at the patio looking up at their complex wanting
them to love you again and then you'd run like the wind up there
and they wouldn't let you in and you'd come back not understanding.
l'd talk with you and you would stand and
look around at the purple petunias and stick
your nose in one and smell and then come inside and rub my leg.
l felt so sorry for you and my heart swelled with so much love for you.
We've enjoyed and been through so much together
but you hung right in there with me until the last.
I'm sorry my Bambi that l had to put you to rest but the disease
had taken over and it was time.
But know this my sweet beautiful cat
"I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!
"We'll be together again and next time with no pain.
