We got Benson from a no kill shelter in 2001.Benson had been an abused dog.
He was the only dog in the cage and I swear it looked he was smiling.
When my husband and Benson made eye contact it was love at first sight.
So we took him home. It was so funny, because poor Benson got car sick. (first and only time). Poor thing looked so sad.
When we got him home he met his sister, Stevie Raye. They were like twins, when you see one you would see the other.
For the next four years Benson gave us so much love, he expected nothing in return. We took him to the dog park. He even had his picture taken with Santa one year. He went on vacation with us. We took to see Slip Knott do tricks. Benson was one cool dog.
Sadly Benson died today. Darryl (my husband)took care of Benson during his short illness.. We were very lucky to have Benson in our lives.
Well Benson is in heaven and will suffer no more.
