Blackie by Lanie J / Lanie

She was tiny. She danced with the soul of a great warrior. She saw the heart of man and made a difference. She asked little. She road in baskets and loved the wind. She chased difficult days away. She wore invisible wings when she visited people who were ill although I may have seen them on occasion. She found the good in everyone. She never met anyone she didn’t love. Her sight was challenged with age yet I think she only saw sunshine –
everyone held grace in her eyes.

There are hundreds of stories she could have told and maybe she did whisper a few. It was her time to say goodbye – goodbyes are so difficult. She made a history –
she made a difference.

I chose to believe there is a place for all our special friends. There are bridges to cross and rainbows to follow. There are hearts that hurt for a moment for a moment is a grace given. I hope in my lifetime I, too, can make that difference. We have all been blessed in an incredible way for those moments – I have been in the presence of grace.

God Blessed Us, Everyone.
