Bobinette, during the short time of 2 years and 9 months you were with us, you brought us so much joy and love. I (your dad) didn’t want such a small dog. But when I first saw you,
it was love at first sight!
You grew to adopt the same routines and habits as us. You learned so many words that even spelling them didn’t work anymore. Kisses on your neck were your favorite things as well as going to bed…what you know as “cookie night night”. Just those words would make you dash to the door with glee to do your final “business” for the night. Then you would get a small treat, climb in bed between us,
and curl up for the night.
When your mom would come home from work, you would search frantically for a “present” of a stick to welcome her…each and every evening. When mom was gone, you were my constant and loving companion.
You were suddenly taken from us in so terrible a way. A pitbull came on YOUR deck and snuffed out your precious life. The emptiness we feel is
overwhelming and complete…something I have NEVER experienced in my life before! When will the tears stop for us. Your scent is on your blanket, the car seat (you went everywhere with us), your favorite pillow in the den, and in our hearts. I see you everywhere but nowhere. The hundreds of pictures we have of you do you no justice. I guess I’m taking this harder since I was with you most of the time. But your mom’s love for you is without fail.
You have gone to that rainbow bridge and can now have all the chicken and other goodies that you were denied. There, those goodies will not hurt you. One day we will meet you there (Mommy’s home! Daddy’s home!) and the neck kisses will begin again. Please God, assign her a sweet angel that can give our Bobinette neck kisses and a “cookie night night”. We have your “favorites” embedded in our hearts when we go to bed.
We will always remember and love you totally,
our “Little Girl”.
Love Always and Forever,
