I got Bonfire when I was 9 years old. Little did I know that June day would change my life. Bonfire and I quickly became more than best friends; we were connected. He became a part of me and I of him. We went through many trials and tribulations together. He gave me more gifts than words can express. He was truly one of a kind from his love of Doritos and Mt. Dew to his special way of always getting loose no matter how tight he was tied. He always kept me on my toes. After 18 years I had to say goodbye to a part of my soul. I will always remember the last ride we took and I know he is running free now like it was meant to be. I know someday I will again see him in all his beauty galloping through a wide open field.
