You gave your Bridget a happy home
where she spent her many years.
Now she has gone to a better place,
so you only need to shed happy tears.
She filled your hearts with love,
a faithful friend in many ways.
She has gone now, to a better life,
enjoying nothing but bright sunny days.
Days without sadness or pain,
she frolics the whole day through.
You sent her favorite toys with her,
making her so much happier too.
She is peaceful and content,
though missing you still.
You’ll see her again someday,
She’ll be there, high up on a hill.
Love never goes away,
it will always be there,
in your mind or in your heart,
but always someplace, somewhere.
