"Buddy"

Buddy or sometimes called "Axel" because
I found him under the axle of a car almost ten years ago.
Buddy was diabetic and also had an enlarged heart.
He died from ketoacidosis a complication of the two.
He was my very best friend for 10 years
and I miss him so much it physically hurts.
Can't believe I won't be able to call out
"Where's my Best Buddy?"
and see him come running a big smile on his face.
He trusted me totally.
I can't imagine life without him.
Oh Buddy I miss you so much my dear dear boy.
