We got Buddy back in 1997 and he was the only one in the litter that had Brindle on him. He sat away from the rest and I immediately wanted him. He was so easy to train and also was obedient. He was our best friend.
About three years ago my husband went through cancer treatment and Buddy would lay on the bed beside him and never left his side. Buddy was diagnosed last July with cancer of the nose. The vet only gave him three months. He almost made it to four. I know he would have tried longer to live but we could not see him go through the pain anymore. So last Saturday we put him down. We are having him cremated and we got a memory box so we can put his picture on it.
It was the one of hardest and most emotional days of our lives. I keep hearing him walking in the house and I feel his presence. I cried for two days solid. Our son, daughter and grandchildren took it very hard. He will always be my Baby Boy’s.
With love and gratitude,
Buddy |
