Buddy by Tammy Watson / Mommy

Buddy;

It hasn’t even been a day
Since you have been gone,
Although it seems
Like an eternity.

I miss you curled up
At the foot of my bed,
You sleeping in your favorite chairs
And your meow greeting me at the door.

I will try not to be selfish
As my pain of missing you
Has resulted in your pain ending.

You were so brave,
Never did you cry or meow in pain
But endure it all as proudly as you could
Until the end.

It was a hard drive yesterday,
I think you even knew
That we would have to part.
I told you how much I loved you
And how you would be going to a
Much better place.

While we where there
I never let go of you once,
I hope that you could feel
How much I loved you
As you took your last breath in my arms.

As your body lays here with us,
May your spirit run free through
The woods under the sun,
And in my heart forever.

May you now have a life with no pain
You will be forever missed,
Always loved and never forgotten,
May you rest in peace.

I love you,
Buddy
