Dear Buddy:
People always say that they have the best dog, but you really were. You were smart, funny, playful, caring and sensitive. You knew our feelings just by sitting next to us. You never complained, whined or begged for anything. You were so patient – waiting to be let out, to be fed or to be petted. You were always there when we were ready give you attention. You never asked for more. We will miss you on this earth, but we know you are playing with your sister, Jingles in Heaven. We are glad she only had to be without you for 3 weeks. We will pick you both up on our way to our final home. We know your legs, eyes, ears & nose all work just fine now, and that you are happy and safe.
Most importantly, we know that you are not mad at us for taking you to the vet the last time, but are grateful you did not have to suffer any longer. That is a comfort to us. We miss the smell of your fur, the softness of your ears & the brown color of seeing your eyes everytime we walked in the door. Most of all we miss your wagging tail (which when you were a pup use to feel like a whip), but it always told us how you felt – happy. If we could have wagged our tails, too, we would have, because we were always glad to see you, too. The holidays will not be the same without you, and everytime we eat a Wendys Frosty, we will remember how you loved them. Bark away, Buddy – Bark away.
You will not get into any trouble.
All our love,
Mom & Dad
Dear Jing, We miss you & love you. It won’t be Christmas without you, but you were with us for 15 Christmases & we gave you to Jesus for Christmas this year. I know you are not suffering and you are better off now. There is no more pain. You are always in our hearts, even though they’re broken. Our laps feel empty.
We know it will get easier as the days go by. Thank you for always greeting us in the morning & tucking us in at night. Thank you for feeling so safe that you let us pet your belly. Thank you for comforting us when we were sick & letting us dance with you to music. You were a beautiful cat & you had a purrfect purr. We’ll miss hearing you tell us that you were hungry. You could really “talk” up a storm, Jingles!
We are glad Buddy is there to play with you – chasing and batting at bubbles & laser lights. We will pick you up when we go to our Heavenly Home. Have fun until then. All our love, Dad and Mom
