My little Scruffy a Scottie mix showed up out of no where with nothing and nobody to care for him. For a while he just hung around out neighborhood while everyone wondered where on Earth he came from. After about of month of just wondering around I decided to take him in my home. My family and I instantly fell in love with
this precious scruffy little dog.

One morning we let him out to use the bathroom and he ran down to one of our neighbors’ houses and you see she has all these animal cages in her yard and she usually catches cats and then takes them to the pound and nobody has ever been happy about that but my little dog got caught in one of the cages. After about an hour and no sign of Scruffy my mother and I decided to walk down to the end of the street and see if the neighbor had seen him she told us yes but a friend of hers had just came and picked him up. My mother and I immediately got in the car and drove to the local shelter. They said that no dog had been reported missing so we could take him. So we got our little dog back. Scruffy was a wonderful little dog. The best dog I have ever owned.

He was there for me when I really needed someone. Scruffy fell in love with our neighbor’s dog and they had 7 beautiful little puppies. We have one of Scruffy’s children and her name is Shelby she is such a sweetheart and reminds me of her daddy so much.

One day in October Scruffy was outside and my uncle drove by and Scruffy ran out in front of his car and was hit. A few minutes later he died. That was one of the saddest days of my life. Scruffy had only been with us for about a little less than a year but, he will be in my heart forever. He came into our lives out of no where and left us so quickly.

He truly was a little angel and I loved him and still do with all my heart. It has almost been a year since we lost him but it still hurts so much and I still miss him so much. I know that the day I leave this world behind he will be waiting on the other side of the rainbow bridge to greet me by jumping into my arms and giving me kisses like he always did whenever I would come home. Scruffy even though you were only here for a short time your mommy will always love you and
you will always be in my heart.

I love you so much Scruffy and I will never ever ever forget my precious baby boy and all the joy you brought me.

I love you Scruffy; always and forever,
Amber Skinner
