I’ve recently lost my cat to his long fight with diabetes. The hardest part I believe was knowing that there was no more I could do for him, and months after loosing him it still hurts, it’s something I believe gets better with time but never really goes away.
I loved my cat with all my heart and soul and could not imagine having ever traded him for a much healthier cat….as I have seen numerous times before.
I work in a shelter and have seen it all. Cats and dogs brought in to be traded off or because people are tired of them. Kittens and puppies coming in hungry, cold and scared because people don’t think to fix their animals. Animals caught running at large and people refusing to pay money to get them back…proving just how important they really were.
To all my babies I’ve lost, and to all those I’ve found new homes for, may you find peace and know that someone will always love you.
To my baby "Kitty" and to all my shelter babies,
