Jumbo was his name…
..he was born January 8th 1987.
The largest of 5 pups gave him his name.
He was the biggest dog in every way…in his younger days he was invincible and had no concept he was so little.
In his middle years he was the biggest hearted, biggest personality that exuded character from every pore of his little body.
He had an aura that made people that saw him smile and want to come and pet him.
In his later years he was brave in battling a heart murmur and kidney failure. We managed it for 3 years until his last day when he looked up at me, licked the tears form my face and said…’Mummy I cannot go on…please help me’
Oh how I dreaded that day..that decision.
Dearest Jumbo, you fell asleep in my arms that awful evening. Your heart that had fought for so long finally ceased pumping….your noisey laboured breathing fell silent, your hairy little body went limp in my arms…..you went on your way to The Rainbow Bridge!!
We had 16 years and 7 months of wonderful memories together…thankyou for all of them.
You are in my heart for ever…you will be buried with me and then we will be together forever when we meet again at The Rainbow Bridge.
I love you dearest Jum's
