Love cannot be something all too fun.
Love can be easier for some.
Love is not a thing to waste
Or something to throw away.
Love is a thing that you must take
A chance to change or stay.
Love is not a thing that you can wish for,
It is something that is sure to be.
Love is the one thing that God has promised,
To you and yes, to me.
Love can be something that will make you happy
Love cannot be something that will never break
your heart.
Love cannot go away for good
Once you heart has felt it once.
Like a chip from a lays bag:
You cannot have just one.
Love is a key that unlocks everything
A key we all do have
Like a skeleton key to any door
If only you’ll let it be what you have.
Love cannot be forgotten.
Love cannot stay forever.
Love can, however make you
A better living being.
So aren’t you glad that you know now
That Love is a thing that lives freely
Not a thing that can be had?

For that is not what love is.
