It was amazing how we became, I was at a flea market and happened upon a booth for friends of strays; after looking at the kittens I decided I would adopt one and jokingly told the kittens the first one to come over and lick my hand I would adopt him. Well a little black and white kitten did just that, so I adopted her. She rode home in my jacket. Well that was 16 years ago she has been my friend for a long time and has went alot of places with me without a complaint (including Tennessee).
In late August she started showing signs of an illness but Dr could not find anything wrong. Then she strangely seemed better. Well on the night of September 7 she got real bad and I think we both knew it was time. I stayed by her side all night and would occasionally rest my head on her side and gently pet her and talk to her telling her it was ok to go; daddy loves you and would miss her but it was ok to go. As I talked to her she purred with some distress but comforted daddy with her purrs; it was the next morning when she passed. i was gone about an hour and she waited till i wasn’t there to go as to spare my feelings, I was devastated even though I knew it would happen. I had lost one of the best friends I have ever had. I layed her to rest in the garden with a small service and moment of silence. I handmade a cross and wrote the dates on it with rope around the edges. I miss my little friend so much and it hurts everyday but I know she is there
at the rainbow bridge waiting for daddy.
Hugs and kisses,
