It all began
When you caught my eye
I knew just then
I couldn’t pass you by.

We grew together
Like best of friends
The two of us
Would never end

I taught you things
As you did me
We grew together
Just like family

You were with me
A third of my life
And now you’re gone
It cuts like a knife

It happened so fast
And so unplanned
Yesterday you were running
Today you can’t stand

I held you close
When the time grew near
You lie on the table
With thoughts unclear

The decision was hard
The hardest we’ve made
It hurt so bad
But Steve & I stayed

I miss you so
I’ll never forget
What you brought to my life
I cannot regret

And now I say
As I begin to mend
It’s not “goodbye”
It’s “until we meet again”.

Miss you my Beauty.
