TODAY WE SAID GOODBYE TO OUR BELOVED LAD – OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN; WE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AFTER KNOWING A SPIRIT WITH SUCH LIGHT IN HIS HEART.
Lad came to us in February this year, and our lives were instantly changed. He is loved by thousands throughout the world. We at The Arrow Fund have met so many wonderful supporters through his story; you have taught us so much about Collies, have been a shoulder to hold us up, and have become part of The Arrow Fund family.
Through it all, Lad has been a shining light for us all. He had suffered a tremendous wrong done to him, and yet he never once showed any hesitance to love everyone he met. The pain he must have been feeling when he first came to us, and yet he wagged his tail when he saw us that first day. One would think with his history that he would need to learn how to trust and love again, but this wasn’t the case. He taught US the power of trust, love, and strength.
Lad will be returning to The Arrow Fund in Louisville, KY to forever be remembered with our Rainbow Bridge Angels. We thank you all for your unwavering support for Lad, and know that in the time he was with us he felt the overpowering love you all have sent him. Perhaps he was not with us that long, but we have no doubt that he felt the most happiness and love he ever experienced while he was with us all.
Live, Love, Lad. Please hug your babies close tonight and remember the strength that joining together can have and can give you. Lad will be forever remembered and loved.
