My Dearest Kitty,
I will never forget the first time I saw you. You were the most adorable sugar glider asleep in your Mom’s shirt pocket. I had never seen a sugar glider before, and never realized the joy and the bonding
one could have.
After your mom left for school, I took care of you, and grew so attached I could not give you back. So, for the next 12 years we spent everyday together. You were incredible, so loving. I depended on you, as much as you depended on me.
Then the worst day of my life came when after 12 years I knew it was the end. I held you for hours, your body was so cold, but you just wouldn’t leave me. I knew I couldn’t let you suffer. Daddy came home and took you from me, and I knew I would never see you again.
I know you are at the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for me. Please have fun, run, and remember I miss you with all my heart. Until the time comes, that we reunite, you will always be that amazing sugar glider that filled my life with such joy.
