When your pet dies
you really want to cry
and really upset you say
“were having no more pets no way!”
But in about a year
there is no more fear
so you go and get another pet
but you know you won’t forget
that special little pet
that kept you warm from the wet.
Then all the memories come flooding back
including the time he jumped in your sack,
but then you think I hope I have lots of fun
with this little one.
Then you realize my old one may of gone
but will never be forgotten.
