Alex, our Golden Retriever, came into our lives on March 14, 1995. He was 8 weeks old. He grew up so fast, 3 pounds a week. We took some videos of him when he was a puppy and recently watched them. We had to say good-bye on August 22, 2003. We found out he had a tumor that could not be removed and the day after his surgery, he had trouble breathing. So we had to let him go to sleep and be free from the pain we saw him in. He was our best friend and we miss him so much. He had such a happy go lucky personality and loved life. Everyone that ever met him will remember how friendly he was. We built him his very own doggy park and we went there every day, he loved to run once you opened the gate for him. I will picture him there every day now when I go to the park. I remember him following me around the house, helping me with everything I did. He would always steel things, like socks, underwear, coasters, but he never chewed them, he just played with them. He always seemed to know what time it was. I had to give him his pills twice a day, to prevent a seizure. Well, he knew if I forgot he would bark at me and remind me to give it to him. Whenever we said it is time for nigh, nigh, he would go into his bed and wait for us to come to bed. We miss him so much, he was and always will be our best friend. He loved to go for walks, for rides in the truck, loved to go swimming, he could even climb up on an innertube all by himself! He loved life so much, he taught us what life is all about. We will remember your beautiful eyes looking at us and your smile. You were one in a million Alex. Thanks for the happy memories and you will always be in our hearts. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
We will always love you,
