Sue was all mine. Body heart and soul.

When we rode together everybody knew we were a team.

I fell in love with her at first sight.

My husband wanted to know what was so special about this one.

After all I had been looking for just the right horse for about a year.

Our hearts beat as one from the beginning.

The neighbors remember us frolicking in the pasture together.

These frolics always ended with my arms wrapped around your neck

and my fingers tangled in your long beautiful white mane.

Your warm breath on neck. You smelled so wonderful.

It was such a picture my mother found a statue of a young woman

with her arms wrapped around her horses neck.

She said it reminded her of me and Sue.

When mom was ill and it was certain she wouldn’t be around I loaded

Sue in a trailer and drove her 360 miles so mom could

see me with my arms wrapped around Sue.

Mom died just a few days later.

Little did I know I would loose by beloved Sue just a few

short months later.

I have had many other horses. I have had many dogs.

All of which I must sooner or later say good-bye to.

However Sue has been the hardest to say good-bye to.

I have asked many times why? Why did this horse touch my heart so?

I could tell many stories I could try and explain but I don’t think

I have the words.

Sue will always be in my heart. Our hearts will always beat as one.

Is there room in my heart for another? Yes!

But having had Sue has made the search very difficult.

I keep looking for the same feeling I had immediately with Sue.

I have finally released the pain and remember with love all the times

we had together.

My mothers last sight of me was with my arms wrapped around Sue.

What a special memory of both my horse and my mother.

She said horses and dogs saved my life as a teen-ager.

I spent all of my time with them.

What she didn’t know is that they are still saving my life every day.

Sue left behind a very special gift. She left behind a little 12 hour

old baby.

He is now 14 months old. He is wonderful!

We are enjoying him more everyday.

Sue run free run wild my heart is with you.

With all of my love

Kelli
