by Ken and Susan Maharan / Mom, Dad and Zach

Our Skip was a rescue, his original Mom had passed away and his Dad was old and couldn’t care for him anymore. we already had 2 dogs but felt the need for another. God was calling us to rescue Skip and bring Love and Joy to his remaining years. When we moved we had a tough decision to make and that was that 2 of our 3 dogs had to find good homes. We had someone come over to look at them all and the 2 younger dogs (sweethearts in their own right) were accepted by loving people into their homes, leaving us with our good ole boy Skip. He always had a smile on his face and was ready for a ride in the car. If he ever got out all we had to do was open the car door and he would come running for his ride!

We love and miss him still to his day. It’s been a year since liver cancer took him from us. Even though a new dog, Vena has entered our lives and is a perfect fit into our family, we’ll always remember the kind old gent that came before her. God Bless You, Skip. We miss you and will see you in heaven.

With much Love,
Ken and Susan Maharan
