ON A CHILLY NIGHT THE 30TH OF SEPTEMBER 1996 A LITTLE BLACK AND WHITE KITTEN CAME RUNNING TO ME AS IF SHE KNEW ME FOR A LONG TIME. SHE WAS DETERMINED TO COME IN MY HOME, BUT BECAUSE OF MY CAT CINNAMON I WAS AFRAID TO BRING HER IN. SHE STAYED OUTSIDE FOR 6 HOURS HIDING IN A BUSH UNTIL MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED TO BRING HER IN. WE WERE AFRAID SHE WOULD NOT MAKE THE NIGHT. WE FOUND SOMEONE TO ADOPT HER BUT AT THE LAST MINUTE THEY COULD NOT SO WE WERE BY THEN ATTACHED TO HER AND MADE HER OURS. PATCHES AND CINNAMON NEVER REALLY GOT ALONG BUT THEY MANAGED. CINNAMON DIED IN 2003 AND PATCHES NEVER LEFT MY SIDE WE BECAME VERY CLOSE.
MY SON AND PATCHES WOULD HAVE CONVERSATIONS IT WAS SO CUTE. WE HAD MANY HAPPY YEARS TOGETHER. IN FEB OF 2009 PATCHES WAS NOT HERSELF NOTHING TERRIBLE JUST A LITTLE OFF. WE TOOK HER TO AMC IN MANHATTAN TO HAVE A SONOGRAM AND WE WERE ALL SHOCKED WHEN IT CAME BACK CANCER OF THE INTESTINES. WE STARTED CHEMO IN MARCH AND PATCHES FOUGHT VERY HARD TO WIN THIS BATTLE AND SHE DID OVER 8 MONTHS. SADLY SHE LOST HER FIGHT ON OCT 17, 2009. MY HEART WILL FOREVER BE BROKEN AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER.
WITH ALL MY LOVE,
