Her loyalty was undying,
But the years had taken toll.
She was in so much pain,
but we didn’t want to let her go.
I could see the day was coming,
I could see it in her eyes.
Oh how my heart was breaking,
as we said our last goodbyes.
I’ll tell you now I was there,
I held her till the end.
Now I know the meaning of,
