Lily came to live with us as a six-week-old kitten on a sunny summer day… Her owners of one day were attempting to desert her on a lawn when we took her into our home and hearts… For the next 2 1/2 years our love for her was boundless…She became suddenly ill on August 29, 2002 and on August 31,2002 after endless testing the diagnosis left little choice for us…
We always told our furry friends that we would not allow them to suffer when there was no hope for recovery…We made a promise…We made a pact…When I look back on that day, I have no idea how I prepared myself and my precious cat child for the trip to my beloved vet’s office to send my Lily to the Rainbow bridge…She was the focus and not my grief…Today she resides, still as a family member, in a beautiful white, sleeping cat urn…We light candles daily and rejoice
in the limitless love we still exchange…
Until the End of Time,
