I lost my Norman this morning. I had to make a choice to let him have some peace. Norman entered my life 15 years ago, after I graduated High School. I got my first apartment and Norman was the first thing I got. So many stories and so many memories, I will miss his so.
Norman was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago and was receiving insulin twice a day. His diabetes got better and he came off of the injections. But he always had trouble walking due to atrophy in his back legs. We recently had nick named him “Thumper”
Last Saturday, Norman began to have some trouble breathing, loss of appetite and hiding alot. Little did we know,
he was suffering from heart failure.
My kind vet, drained his chest twice but this morning told me he wasn’t going to get better. It was so hard to see him like that, I had to let him go. My Husband stayed with him as he fell to sleep.
Now I am left with a quite house and a sad heart.
Norman, I will miss your 3 am wake up calls, your love nibbles on my toes and your constant talking. Enjoy your peace.
Always,
