Imagine waking up in bed
With a warm puppy by your head.
With his cold nose in your ear
And you’re so glad that he is near.
He opens his eyes and looks at you
He is so loyal, no matter what you do.
He’ll be the first to give away
His life for you, with no delay.
He’ll make you smile when you are sad
He’ll help you cope when things are bad.
He’ll be with you till the end
All he needs is the feel of your hand.
You may say he’s just a pet
But to me he is my friend.
I sure hope you get to feel
The love I feel it’s very real.
He’ll be there through thick and thin
With a love like that you’ll always win.
So get a dog he’ll fill your soul
And please adopt, they need a home!!!
