My sweet precious Samantha,
I remember the day that you were dropped
on our doorstep, unwanted.
I fell in Love with you right away.
I knew that you were born to be mine.
You were with us for such a short time
but you will forever be in our hearts.
As I buried you today my heart ached,
but when I look at your babies
I know that you will live forever in them and
in all the generations that come after.
