by Stacey and Gary Hamill / Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Marissa and Mona

You’ve been gone nearly a year my boy, but the pain still feels like yesterday. I can still see you running in the yard or just laying next to me on the bed. I would give anything for one more day with you. Sometimes we find it hard to even talk about you. You were a very big part of this family. The holidays were very rough last year. It was the first time in nearly 9 years that I had to decorate the tree without watching my every move. Spring is finally here, your favorite time of year. But this year it won’t be the same.

Sometimes it doesn’t seem quite fair that you had to go. Although we know that you’re no longer in pain or suffering.

Grandma, Grandpa, Marissa and Mona miss you terribly too. They found it hard to be here at Thanksgiving because you weren’t here sitting between Grandma and I begging for some turkey. You were very spoiled, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We Miss you so very much my boy. Wait for us at the Bridge. I know that you are now running free without any pain. You’re whole again.

We love and miss you very much,
Stacey and Gary Hamill
