Cadbury, my beloved Easter Bunny. We had 9 long years together, but they were not long enough. I got you around Easter time and lost you around Easter time. I’ll miss your quirky ears, how one would stand up and the other would flop down. A few vets thought something was wrong with that ear but I knew it was just part of your charm.
I’ll miss you jumping around your cage when you heard me coming downstairs for feeding time. And how you’d ‘grunt’ at me sometimes.
Those final days were painful for me to watch you slip farther & farther away. The only pleasure I had was being able to hold you in my arms as skilled hands helped you reach the Rainbow Bridge. I wouldn’t have wanted you to make that journey alone.
Goodbye my sweet angel Cadster — keep Ares company for me until we are reunited again.
