Budgie Parakeet
You were only with us for a very short time.
When you were given to us to help you
we knew there wasn't much we could do.
We couldn't make your pain or shaking go away
but we gave you love and our hearts.
It wasn't easy to see you the way you were.
We all prayed for you to get better.
Your passing was a peaceful one;
you took your last breath in Mom's arms.
She would not let you start you final flight alone.
You are now in a better place where there is no pain or suffering.
I know you are soaring in the Heavens
where you can fly without tiring for as long as you like.
We will all miss you.
Enjoy your journey in Heaven.
