Casey and I adopted each other nine years ago from a local animal shelter. He was approximately 6 yrs old at the time. He had been badly abused and neglected by his previous owners and had given up on the human race and life. I was not looking for a large dog, especially not a hairy one with emotional problems! But God had other plans for both Casey and me. It was love at first sight and a bond, unlike any I had ever known with other pets, began that day. We were inseparable, through good times and bad. Until June 3,2004, when my Darling Boy went on a journey that he had to take without me. Godspeed, Dear Heart.
