Our beloved Casper passed away on May 2, 2006. He was a special puppy who we had for over twelve years. The Lord surely blessed us with Casper’s life and we are so grateful to have had the time with him that we did.
Casper was born with a heart murmur but it turned out to be the kind that gave him a normal, happy life. Mid-way through his life he developed epilepsy and had to be put on medication. Then he developed kidney failure in his last 7-8 months with us. He fought a hard battle in his final weeks, but it was not enough to keep him going. I know we did the right thing by letting him pass with his dignity intact. He died very peacefully with Anne and I at his side stroking his beautiful white coat. It was an uplifting experience to see him go so peacefully before he developed any more pain.
God now has him as his lap dog and he joins his brother, Bingo, who passed away only 31 days earlier.
Casper was my buddy and best friend. I never had anyone to relate to me as Casper did. We talked about everything and he sure helped me to overcome some bad experiences in my life. I was so blessed to have him. He lived a full life and never wanted for anything. He gave back more to us than we gave to him. The unconditional love he had for us was immense and so gratifying. I will surely miss him but I know his spirit will be with me always.
I also know we will reunite at the Rainbow Bridge one day and then be together for eternity. Good-bye my buddy and please know how much I loved you and will always love you, and how missed you are.
Until the day we meet again….
With all our love
