{Rescued} April 5 2000 --------- July 13 2000
German Shepherd
Cassie who suffered at the hands of others,
Came to us so that we could love her.
Her stay was short and bittersweet,
And sadly we had to put Cassie to sleep.
So much was wrong too much to put right,
But Cassie put up a really good fight.
She showed great courage despite her past,
And we cuddled her close when she breathed her last.
And now she plays with Tasha both free from pain,
Waiting ever faithful for the day we meet again.
