Cassie you came into our lives a lost little dog. No one claimed you. We tried to find your home until we realized it was with us. You were like an angel that God sent to protect us. You helped raise the kids and kept us all safe. We never expected to lose you so soon. You got sick so fast and they said that you needed surgery to make you better. We had no idea your heart was so weak. I will live everyday wondering if we did the right thing.
We miss you so much. Landon is still carrying your collar around with him. He doesn’t understand why you had to go. I hope you are with Harley. He was your true buddy and you grieved when we lost him. I hope the two of you are running and playing like you once did. We gave you all the love that we knew how to give. I hope it was enough.
You always made me feel safe when Mark was at work at night. Now you are gone and I miss you so much. I love you Cassie and I know that somewhere out there you are still watching over all of us. You were an angel sent to us. Even if we can’t see you we can feel you.
