On May 17th, 2014, just 4 short days after his birthday, I lost one of my best friends. His name was Chaz (or chazzy boy) and he was the sweetest kitten in the entire world. He was diagnosed with a heart defect that ultimately lead to heart failure. My mother and I did everything we could and the doctors worked long hours with him because we all wanted to see him come home…and he did come home, just not how we would’ve hoped he would. After just 3 short, but beautiful years, our little chazzy boy lost his battle. I was devastated. Words couldn’t even begin to describe the love and bond I had with this kitten. It was like someone had ripped my heart out and tore it to pieces. As much as I’m heart broken by the loss of my beautiful baby boy, I can rest easy knowing that his pain and suffering has all ended and I do believe that heaven gained another loving and beautiful angel.
