Dearest Chee Cha
Do you remember the day we came and found you at the shelter? You were such a site – dirty and straggly to the point we had no idea what you really were under a coat of matted hair! But what a wonderful and beautiful little creature you were!
Of course you had no idea who we were…would we be good to you love and care for you? What had your first five years of life been like? We could only guess and promise you that we’d do our very best.
My how the ten years flew by. We brought you home cleaned you up restored your health and slowly taught you to trust again. What fun we had! Trips to the woods where you would run and have a great time searching every hole and burrow. Then we’d come home for snackies and a nap! The hugs and head-rubs we’ve shared!
Friends and family who would come to call just loved you to pieces too! They all miss you too sweet girl. But none like me and Dad. We scarcely think we’ll be able to take our next breath for the agony of missing you.
Your last few months were not the best. Illness and frailty took its toll. We did all we could to keep you well and comfortable. We are so sorry if we could not understand or know what to do for you. Please forgive us and know we did as best as humans can do. We hope with all our hearts it was enough and that you knew how much we loved you.
Sweet baby girl we promised you from the first day we found you and built our family around you that we would take care of you and love you with all our hearts till the very last. We have kept our promise. We hope with all our hearts that when our days are through that we will come to wherever you are and that where you are
is heaven for you.
You are in our hearts forever and for the time we have remaining we will never forget you never stop loving you never stop missing you. Until we are together again beloved may the Angels keep you in their care.
All Our Love
Mom and Dad
