I blame myself if I had not let you out early that Sunday
morning you would still be with us now.
Sundays I stay in bed till late but the night before I had been up
all night writing. You lay by the fire so content.
At 7am you wanted to go out I said take care see you soon.
Two days later after much searching for you I heard that a cat
had been killed on the top road I looked there yesterday
today I found you – I did not look far enough you lay 3 yards away
from where I’d searched.
You were 3 years old we took you in as a kitten after we found you
had been ill treated & starved.
I am so Sorry I let you out early I am sorry that I missed where
you lay I am sorry I was not with you & that you lay there
for 2 days until I found you today.
Today I brought you home to rest cleaned you and kissed you.
All our other cats came to see you laid peacefully.
We buried you this evening & the rain poured down
I did not want to let you go.
We will all miss you so much my Darling Clarence
but will be in all our hearts always.
One day we will be together
God bless my little one my angel – sweet dreams.
