Collie by Gord & Audrey / Amy

I am the granddaughter of the owners of Collie. I remember my Grandpa a man who always loved dogs bringing a puppy to show me and my little sister. He asked us what we thought he should name the dog and I enjoyed holding the adorable puppy. Collie turned into a wonderful, obedient loving dog who was especially loyal to my Grandpa. Everytime Grandma and Grandpa would come to visit they would bring Collie and he and our dog Duke became the best of friends.

I remember we used to go for walks in the park my Grandpa with Collie, my Father with Duke and myself with my dog Daisy. Collie was trusted off a leash because if Grandpa called him he would immediately return to the side of his master. Collie was a very smart and intelligent dog who was kind and gentle with everyone.

My Grandfather passed away a little less than a year before Collie himself died. Collie grieved like the rest of us did. During this time Collie and my Grandma became closer. Collie surely has a lot of loved ones waiting for him at the rainbow bridge. I know the first person he will want to see is Grandpa whom I know he has missed a great deal. Then I am sure he will be overjoyed to see my dog Daisy and meet my Grandpa’s previous dogs. Collies life on earth was brief but filled with love, joy and wonderful memories with all those who loved him. He will be waiting for us when we reach the rainbow bridge. May God Bless him and
May he Rest in Peace.

With love,
Collie
