Cooper added so much to our family, and we will always miss his funny ways. He loved his crate, and would put himself to bed after giving us a look of disgust when we stayed up too late. In later years he would sleep at the foot of my daughter’s bed to protect her at night.
We will miss the way he used to ‘encourage’ his sister Ruger (from the same litter) to go outside by dragging her by her scruff, or the way he used to ‘yell’ at her to play with him, until she finally caved in. We will also miss flyball competitions when Cooper would ‘wind up’ before starting and run faster on the way back because he wanted to be close to Mom. He loved that one-on-one time together, and tried so hard.
I’ll never forget the time he started a little late and didn’t bother to get the ball because the other dog had started back already and he wanted to win. I still see him sitting on the deck facing away from the house to look over his territory and the way his tail would bounce along happily as he walked the property. He was one-of-a-kind and will be forever missed by our whole family
We love and miss you Coop,
