Cricket was my 14th Birthday present.
She was my best friend probably my only friend at the time.
She was loyal to me and helped me through my rough times
in life it seemed like she was the only one that could keep a secret.
We were unseperable she would even go on dates with me.
If she liked the guy she would bond with them
if she didn't like them she growled at them.
She was a very good judge of character if she didn't like them
I wouldn't go out with them. She was the smartest and most
well behaved dog due to my training she won several contests.
She would also keep me warm at night.
In November of 1991 we took her into the vets office for her shots,
during a routine screen the vet discovered she had cancer
she died 2 months later in her sleep right next to me in bed.
Losing this dog was like losing a child.
Even though it has been 7 years since her passing I
have never really got over the loss of this
wonderful dog.
