Thank you God for blessing us with 6+ years with Duke.
His love playfulness smiling eyes and laughing "doggy smile" -
gave us many memories of joy companionship and love.
His protectiveness saved us from harm more than once.
His love and devotion to my husband especially
was evident in his return to his playful puppy ways
whenever Mark came into view.
He hid his pain and up until the last 4 days of his life
like the trooper he was.
He was a gentle giant
whose love and spirit live in our hearts and memories for always.
He will also be an important part of our family's history.
Thank you God for taking him home to you to play
among the clouds and to wait for the rest of our family to return to
You and our loyal Duke will greet us on that day -
much like he greeted us when we'd return from work or travel.
We miss you Duke
