Dulcey by Robin / Robin

You always watched out for me and protected me by growling when a stranger approached the door. So when I rushed you to the veterinarian miles away to put you to sleep when you suddenly crashed late Christmas eve from acute Kidney failure after a good fight, you waited until I arrived and then stopped breathing before they even gave you the first injection of a sedative. You wanted to keep me from feeling guilty for putting you to sleep.

To my sweetest and most feisty girl, who climbed up to sleep on the pillow next to me the night before you died, even though it was very hard for you to jump on the bed because of your arthritis and weakness.

You will always be part of me.

With my heart to yours,
Dulcey
