Dusty,
It was like yesterday when we first brought you home. The a/c kept you cool during the ride. We calmed your whimpers from being separated from your family. You looked like a little teddy bear as you layed on the blanket, which was your security and comfort for the first year.
Car rides and walks were what you enjoyed most. A little squeak toy of a dog was your most treasured as you gently carried it around like it was a real puppy. You were always there when we needed support.
When I moved out on my own, I left you with Mom so she can have someone to come home to. It was so hard to leave after visits seeing your long face in the rear view mirror watching me drive away.
Mom tendered to every need in your senior years. I was there to give you more support. Your stride was shorter, your eyesight was hindered, but you still had heart and pride.
Right now, you’re playing with the rest of your family that you left so many years before. We will deeply miss you.
With love always and forever,
