First: I got Egypt when she was about 6 weeks old from a junkyard, The people owned a purebred Siamese cat that had 2 kittens. When they were old enough to be adopted the people said there was 2 kittens, A black and white male and a grey female. We had actually picked the black and white male but when we went to grab him he went under a dresser thing and we couldn’t get him out
so we just took the grey female.
The kittens weren’t hand tamed so Egypt was mean the first few weeks we had her. She was so mean that when she was eating she would go after her own shadow. Well we never did like grey cats because of there plain color but Egypt was different. As the weeks went by she started growing Orange spots in her fur than after about 3 months white started growing in (very faintly).
We named Egypt Egypt because we originally thought Siamese cats were from Egypt until my friend told us otherwise. They are actually from Russia but she was already named so it stuck.
I was having moving issues not to long ago and couldn’t keep Egypt and not to mention she was pregnant. The people I moved in with had Pit bulls and it was to dangerous for her to stay so they gave me a week to find a home for her. All week I searched for places that was able to find homes for the kittens and to foster my cat, the only person I could find that would help me wanted to Abort Egypt’s kittens and I still would be able to keep Egypt. Then on the last day of my week to find her a place A lady called me about her… I had so much going on (I was hosting a Halloween party, cleaning out my old place, and trying to find a place to keep her all at once.) I just said fine she could keep her and the kittens and I would meet her somewhere
to give the cat to her.
So when I went to meet the lady I talked with her for a while and we made an agreement. She would adopt the kittens out, hold one for me if I liked and hold Egypt for me as long as I needed till I could take her back. I agreed to it as long as I didn’t have to pay for anything and she said that was fine. So the day after I handed Egypt over to her Egypt had given birth to 6 kittens. The lady also said she wanted to get Egypt spayed and her shots taken care of, I said it was ok and she also wanted to get her tested of Feline AIDs and other diseases.
Well about a month after I had handed Egypt over to the lady I moved up to MA with my family and I wanted to have egypt shipped up here to me, She also agreed to pay for half the shipping fee. We agreed to get her fixed first and to wait till the test came in before we shipped her here. Egypt was supposed to be shipped up to me in 3 weeks and she was getting fixed today, when the lady took her to the vet to be fixed the vet gave her the test results… and it was bad, Egypt had gotten Feline AIDs and the vets said it would be to painful to let her live with it so she put her down right there.
She didn’t tell me till I called her today to see how the Surgery went… I was heart broken. They also had to put all the kittens to sleep because it was passed on to them, I want to thank the lady so much for helping me with Egypt as much as she did.
