Ellie, losing you 3 months after losing Guthrie was almost too much to bear. I am so sorry that you felt so much pain before we knew why. (We don’t see that vet anymore.)That was such an awful summer for us. This one was a little better, I have been able to replace some of the pain with memories….the long walks in the fields, swimming in the pond and the warm baths afterward, playing in the leaves, stealing my sneakers. I can picture you in the yard, jumping up and doing your “wahoo” routine. You were the best Dachsie nanny-whenever the boys were out in the yard you watched over them.
You had a beautiful smile and an even more beautiful soul-such a regal lady, but with a touch of goofy. I will never forget the cold, snowy night that we met when your shelter flooded-of all the dogs I saw, I had to have you! Always remember sweetie that you were very special. I miss you so very much and will always love you.
Take care of Guthrie for me and play with Heidi, Missy, Butch, Mandy,& Dammie.
Until we meet at the Rainbow Bridge….
Hugs & Kisses
Mommie
