My Mom worked at a vets office in the 1990’s when Felicia & Her brother were dropped off to be euthanized. She called our house & we took them immediately. Unfortunately her brother wasn’t healthy & died a few weeks later. Felicia had a love affair with our dog, Annabelle, thru the years. They were inseperable & loved cuddling together. Felicia loved attention & loved anybody who came in the door, stranger or not, it didn’t matter. A couple months ago she started losing weight so we took her for a senior checkup. The vet said old age was starting to take a toll on her & her health. The past week it was obvious she was getting sicker. She quit eating & drinking yesterday & was having a hard time standing. We took her in this afternoon & the vet said she was suffering & the time had come. After tearful goodbyes the vet put her to sleep. We live in the country so she’s now buried under a tree next to our dog Thunder, who died last year.
With love & tears,
Felicia |
