March 13 2001—- Still with us
Lhasa Apso
Frankee’s story begins shortly after the death of my beloved pet
and soul mate Gizmo. Loosing Gizmo was harder for me
than the death of both my sisters.
I called my vet to find a breeder who had Shitzu pups.
I knew that I had to get another dog so I can give all the love I had
for Gizmo and share it with him or her.
The lady my vet referred me to had Lhasa Apso pups which I have an
older one name Rocky who is now 13 years.
She told me about a white pup that had blue eyes.
I did not want that breed again but I went to look anyway.
When I got there she brought him out and it was love at first sight.
He wasn’t ready to go home so I had 2 weeks to prepare
for his arrival. He was this tiny bundle with big blue eyes
that looked almost human. It turned out that he had
all the little habits that my Gizmo had.
As soon as you would look at him he would lay on his back
and open his legs for you to rub his little tummy.
He would even lay on this blanket in my sons room that only
Gizmo would do. My son would keep saying ‘oh Frankee your a
gift from God’ and indeed he truly is.
He had almost all the quality traits that Gizmo possessed.
There’s not a day that goes by that Gizmo’s loving nature isn’t
nestled in my mind. But I am very very thankful for the opportunity to
have Frankee in my life.
Gismo’s little gentle soul sits upon my shelf over my bed.
He is the first thing I greet in the morning and the last
to say goodnight to.
Although there is not a pet that could ever replace Gizmo
Frankee is truly a gift from God.
We should all treasure our pets because they bring so many rays
of light into our lives. They are on this planet for such a short time
that we should treasure every moment.
Goodnight Gizmo thanks
for the memories.
