Gabby AKA Puchuchi and Rolito by Maritza & Delia

We adopted Gabby from Cat Network (a no kill shelter). It was love at first site when we saw him in the cat show.

Throughout the years he became a very important part of our family. Gabby ran this household, very spoiled and got away with his mischievousness at times.

He was a good talker and followed each and every one…very curious. He always greeted you at the door, and when you brought groceries he got up on the table to put his head inside the bags to smell if you had treats or toys for him.

Gabby loved to play, listen and look at you with his big green eyes as if he understood you. Gabby loved to cuddle and sleep with you. He meow a lot and howl when he saw someone sick or stressed. He could really mess up the floor where his litter was, if not cleaned when he wanted to. We tried to dress him as a Christmas elf, but it depended if he was up to it or not. But always so eager to open his Christmas gift.

He reminded us of the things that are really important (you don’t need much in life). The little old man loved kisses, and boy he would always like to hide and for us to go all over the house to find him.

Gabby was so mellow, sweet, loving friendly, easy going and went with the flow. No matter what happened nothing bothered him. He went to his room and ignored all.

But the inevitable time came, we had to say goodbye. The decision was very hard to let him go. Seeing him fade away was the hardest thing we ever had to witness.

The love we had for him was so much that we did not want him to suffer any longer, when there was nothing else the vets. could do. Deep down they way he looked at us, as if saying it’s
that time for me to be with my little ones.

He was our “little fighter””, made it two more years after being diagnose with Cancer (Renal Lymphoma). Took the chemo treatments like a man. Unfortunately at the end, lung cancer took his life.
